Ever since BLACKPINK’s Jennie uploaded a dreamy Polaroid featuring herself resting her head on a mystery man’s shoulder—with his face hidden behind a white heart emoji—fans have been trying to crack the mystery.

Now, one name is quickly rising to the top.

According to online speculation, the man in the photo could be Kai, a Taiwanese model born in 2002.

Kai made his runway debut during Prada’s Spring/Summer 2026 show and has been gaining attention for his striking visuals and effortlessly cool aesthetic. After Jennie’s post went viral, eagle-eyed fans flocked to his Instagram, with comments like “Are you the guy next to Jennie?” suddenly flooding his recent uploads.

Of course, he’s not the only person being mentioned. Actors Ahn Hyo-seop and Hong Tae-jun have also been thrown into the mix, with fans comparing photos and sharing their own theories across social media.

At this point, though, nothing has been confirmed. Jennie has remained silent, and the identity of the mystery man is still exactly that—a mystery.
